Abstract

|
Giant lymph node hyperplasia is infrequent neoplasm like disease and it is usually located in mediastinum. It is often misdiagnozed as thymoma or lung cancer. A 27-year-old male patient was admitted to C-S department because of intermittent dyspnea and chest pains for 2 years. Chest P A view showed well circumscribed mass in left hilar portion. Under the impression of the mediastinal tumors, surgery was performed. Gross findings were well circumscribed nodular masses in left hilar portion. Histologically, diffuse lymphoid hyperplasia, interfollicular capillary proliferation, some immunoblastlike cell infiltrations and hyalinized vascular channels are seen.
